Totally agree.

What's also interesting that usually the people predicting the end of the world were usually from the left. But now the right-wing and religious is slowly joining the call (and they're the experts at doomsday warnings!).

Hmm ... if I'm not senile, that clip you have is of Prof. Ian Plimer. I don't agree with everything he says. The chief problem with the notion of human-induced climate change is that no one can come up with a credible figure for the magnitude of the human component, but personally I see no reason to discount a human contribution.

Climate scaremongeres always infuriate me. It seems that many people swing to the other extreme and deny that the climate is changing at all simply because the voodoo priests of climate (the modellers) come up with figures and with no evidence whatsoever to support their claims that the world will end - again. Give me a second to consult Nostradamus' spirit on this subject.

The voodoo priests of climate need to grow up and accept the basic test of all other models in science: the ability to make verifiable predictions with quantifiable errors.

Now here's a neat party trick: make your own climate predictions! Toss a die or throw a dart or any such thing to get a number - you'll be every bit as wrong as the IPCC. Get a lot of buddies to throw in their own guesses and you have your own consensus on the magnitude of human-induced climate change and it's every bit as scientific as the IPCC tripe. After all, the average of a thousand unverifiable results *must* be correct, yes? Don't you just love the solid (*gag*) reasoning behind the doomsday claims?
