If christians’ faith was strong enough they wouldn’t weep or even be sad at the death of a fellow christian. They’d truly rejoice. But even those who claim to be happy at such events…..aren’t. They put on a good facade sometimes, but in practice they *know* that the dear departed is in fact….departed. Done. Pushing up daisies. Bereft of life, he rests in peace. If you hadn’t nailed him to the perch….whoops, sorry, wrong venue.
Have you ever noticed how EVERY SINGLE christian who dies is going to heaven? Just listen to the eulogy. The comments from friends and relatives during viewings. The preacher’s/priest’s presentation. No one (well, hardly any one) ever says “Clyde was a rotten sonuvabitch, he deserves to burn in hell and that’s what’s gonna happen.”
That was always my problem with the concept when I went to church. “Wait so a mass murder gets to go into Heaven if he believes in Jesus but say for example Santa Claus if he doesn’t would go to hell?”
They didn’t like when after they said yes I would reply with, “Then God doesn’t care if I am good or bad I should just do what I want.”
