Anti Vacc Ophobia

Eh, I do think that there are some racial issues underlying the panic some people have about Islam. I like the joke, just saying that if that was the target it might be a bit off.

    Thanks for the comment.

My goal was to show that calling someone racist for criticizing Islam, is no more ridiculous than calling someone racist for opposing the anti-vaccination movement.

Which what proponents of the concept of ‘Islamophobia’ are attempting to do.

I’ll figure this ‘cartoon’ thing out eventually. ;-)

I see the logic therein. I think it would help if many of the people I saw who seem to be outspoken critics of Islam in particular (as opposed to say religion in general) didn’t also seem to make a lot of racially charged comments as well. Not to mention that the media seems intent on turning people who follow Islam into this freakish ‘other’

And I do quite like the cartoon. After posting I realized I should explain that my response was more a general thing rather than anything aimed at the comic. And yes, claims of racism for criticizing Islam are ridiculous just as claiming that any criticism of Israels policy is anti-semitic is ridiculous.

@ Jeffrey Weston There is a lot of racism there. I argue with Islamophobes all the time on their Facebook groups. Many are White Nationalists and it is no secret that they hate Arabs.
